What is inheritance in land matters?

This is a transfer of property from the deceased to his or her heirs.

Sometimes a will, whether or not drawn up by a notary (holographic will or authentic will), specifies the inheritance.

If there is no will, the law defines the conditions under which the estate is managed.

Property is acquired and transmitted by succession, donation, purchase, will and exchange.

Here, the succession was settled during the lifetime of the deceased. Under the guidance of the notary, the established will is executed as soon as the death occurs.

The estate in this case was not managed during the lifetime of the deceased. The process is as follows:

Family Council (PV) → transmission to the territorially competent court → liquidation order or probate judgment → partition or indivision (Endorsed by a judgment)
